Holly Winterborn's Biography

I was born in 1976 and live in Oxfordshire. In 1999 I obtained a BA (Hons) in Illustration at the University of Westminster, specialising in painting.

I find inspiration in painting London and the River Thames, following its route through the city past old and modern landmarks. I also enjoy travelling in Europe and making studies on location in order to capture the transient effects of light upon the landscape. I develop these studies into larger works, using a variety of media including oil, acrylic & charcoal.

My main objective is to express the atmosphere and ethereal aspect of each place.
